I, like the mother of one of the girls, also do not believe that the girls died in accordance with "the legal truth". I still think Dutroux's wife is a vile monster herself, but now I think she may have been persuaded to take all the blame for the deaths of the girls in that house, and that they may have died from other (horrific) causes than what is in the official story.
incompetence or conspiracy? no one is this "incompetent". why is this guy so afraid of the word "conspiracy"? dude, pick up a history book. read some court stuff once in awhile. "conspiracy to commit" (insert crime here) is a real concept in legal codes everywhere, a real thing that people engage in. I have a "distaste for conspiracy theories" too. Because corruption and evil are real, and conspiracies involving one or more human beings actually happen. And I don't like it. But I really really hate being gaslighted, being told that the only rational mode of thought about it is to be "skeptical", dismissive, and believe that conspiracies never happen.
I wonder if he's going to tiptoe around the obvious connections to the Belgian branch of Operation Gladio and the Brabant Killings.
